An Inter-generational heritage project with the OK club in South Kilburn

 

Exploring local heritage through the eyes of young people, getting to know the neighbourhood more deeply, holding important inter-generational conversations about the changes taking place on the South Kilburn estate.

Is this you?

  • You are interested in your family history or how Kilburn has changed since you came to live in the area; or

  • You are curious about the stories behind certain buildings or shops in the area and want to find out more; or

  • You think others will want to know how you or your family came to live in Kilburn.

You would like to learn skills and understand how to:

  • undertake historic research using the local archives, maps, images

  • record memories of immigration experiences

  • create a new photographic record of life in Kilburn

  • design a website, printed trail map and plan an exhibition

  • gain confidence in public speaking, presentation techniques, how to lead a guided tour
